Chicco Keyfit, Graco Snugride or Peg Perego?

Which of these three car seats should I get, if I do end up getting an infant seat? At this point we are still planning on using just a convertible, but haven’t completely made up our mind. These three will work with the Uppababy stroller that we think we have decided on

I’m not a mom, we are TTC #1, but I have done a ton of babysitting and nannying and have dealt with all three of these seats. The Peg is the nicest, most cushy looking seat, but it is EXTREMELY heavy, so if you are doing any plane travel, etc, it gets bulky. The Graco is alright, and I thought it was the best until I used the Chicco. The fabric is fantastic, seems super comfortable and is so easy to get in and out of the base and stroller. It is a little heavier than the Graco, but seems to be totally worth it. If you decided not to do the infant seat, my favorite convertible is the Britax Marathon, it is super easy to use and all the kids I have had in that seat have been very comfy and safe!

So what is good about the Chicco baby car seat ?
The first thing that will strike you when you see a Chicco baby car seat when compared with other car seat systems is the deep shell design. This is done in order to “coccon” for the baby safety and crash test videos show thatthe Chicco baby car seat does a good job doing that.
Typical car seats support weight  limits upto 20-22 lbs, which is a limitation for parents with big babies who can outgrow the seats after a few months. Chicco baby car seat supports babies upto 30 lbs which means you can use it longer even for bigger babies.The car seat comes with 3 harness height slots so you can adjust accordingly giving the most comfortable position for your baby.
Installing the Chicco baby car seat with the Latch is a breeze and it cannot get easier than that.The latch connectors go into the vehicle hooks , the base gets pushed down and just pull the front strap to tighten thethe base in place.
